Presentation

Bedari is a national-level non-governmental and voluntary development organization in Pakistan working for the promotion and protection of the human rights of women and children. Established in 1991 and registered in 1992 under the Societies Act 1860, Bedari works on girls’ education, gender equality, prevention of gender-based violence, women’s empowerment, disability inclusion, youth engagement, climate justice, and community mobilization through advocacy, training, research, and grassroots interventions. Bedari established Pakistan’s first crisis center for women survivors of violence and continues to work with communities, civil society, and government institutions to promote inclusive and rights-based development.
