Présentation
Bedari is a national-level non-governmental and voluntary development organization in Pakistan working for the promotion and protection of the human rights of women and children. Established in 1991 and registered in 1992 under the Societies Act 1860, Bedari works on girls’ education, gender equality, prevention of gender-based violence, women’s empowerment, disability inclusion, youth engagement, climate justice, and community mobilization through advocacy, training, research, and grassroots interventions. Bedari established Pakistan’s first crisis center for women survivors of violence and continues to work with communities, civil society, and government institutions to promote inclusive and rights-based development.
Mission
Promoting equal rights of all, including women, men, boys, and girls, through inclusive community development efforts such as awareness raising, training and capacity building, education, advocacy, lobbying, women’s empowerment, and community mobilization for social justice and gender equality
Participation au FSM 2026
Bedari aims to actively participate in the World Social Forum 2026 process through online and hybrid activities focusing on girls’ education, gender equality, feminist leadership, prevention of child marriage, disability inclusion, climate justice, youth engagement, and community-based advocacy from Pakistan.
