Presentation
The NGO ALAFIA "Women, Health and Development" was first registered as an association under number 92-130/PMRT on May 27, 1992, before being officially recognized as a women's development NGO under number 831/MIS-SG-DAPSC-DSC on May 30, 1997. Headquartered in Lomé (Maritime Region), ALAFIA has branches in Kougnohou (Plateau Region), Djarkpanga (Central Region), Kara, Bafilo and Pagouda (Kara Region), as well as in Tandjouaré (Savanes Region). It operates throughout Togo, implementing projects to improve the living conditions of women and vulnerable communities. The NGO ALAFIA aims to contribute to the emergence of an inclusive society where women are recognized as pillars of community development and where their rights are fully guaranteed. Aware of the importance of the next generation, the NGO places youth at its heart through its dedicated section, ALAFIA-JEUNES (A.J.), mobilizing dynamic young people with initiatives for sustainable change.
