Within the framework of the general movement of the international campaign for the cancellation of Third World debt led by the Coalition INTERNATIONAL JUBILEE 2000 from 1998 to 2000
on the one hand and the holding of the international conference on the debt of developing countries in Dakar (Senegal) in December 2000 on the other hand,
personalities and civil society organizations in Côte d'Ivoire created on April 11, 2001, the FNLCP
(National Forum for the Fight Against Debt and Poverty), a network of civil society organizations in Côte d'Ivoire registered under number 1027 on June 20, 2001 at the Ministry of the Interior and Decentralization.
At the conclusion of the work of the Elective General Assembly held from May 21 to 22, 2004 in Abidjan, a new name was agreed upon: FNDP (National Forum on Debt and Poverty), RECEIPT OF
ASSOCIATION FILE FILING No. 229 /
MEMAT / DGAP / SDVA and
registered under No. 4553 of November 24, 2004.

During
the Restructuring General Assembly held from April 13 to 15, 2022 at
the Hôte Prunelle in Jacqueville, the various bodies were renewed.

Mission

The FNDP, an advocacy and capacity-building organization, has the following general objectives: - To mobilize national and international public opinion on the impact of Côte d'Ivoire's external debt; - To persuade international financial institutions and development partners to completely cancel Côte d'Ivoire's external debt; - To contribute to reducing extreme poverty
