UNAC is a Mozambican national smallholder farmers' union, founded in 1987. It represents around 150,000 members through a nationwide network of provincial, district, and local associations. UNAC advocates for the rights of small-scale farmers, promotes agroecology and food sovereignty, and supports sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience, and community-led rural development. It is one of Mozambique's largest and most influential peasant organizations and works closely with local communities, civil society, and international partners.
