Description
This session proposes the screening of Toxic Harvest, a documentary produced by Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung in collaboration with South African civil society organisations, Women on Farms Project, the African Centre for Biodiversity, and the Trust for Community Outreach and Education. Meant to influence a global audience, the film documents the lived experiences of farm workers and communities exposed to highly hazardous pesticides (HHPs) in South Africa and examines how global food systems continue to externalise social, health, and environmental costs onto workers and food producing and exporting countries in the Global South.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the partners involved in the documentary.
