Background

Africa
remains at the frontline of climate change, environmental degradation, energy
poverty, and humanitarian crises. Despite growing commitments by governments,
development partners, and international institutions to support localization,
local actors continue to face significant barriers in accessing decision-making
spaces, financing, technical resources, and leadership opportunities. Connected
Advocacy -The Global Localization Forum seeks to provide a high-level
multi-stakeholder platform for dialogue, learning, and action to strengthen
locally led climate action, humanitarian response, environmental governance,
and energy access initiatives across Africa. The Forum will bring together
policymakers, development partners, civil society organizations, grassroots
actors, youth leaders, academia, and private sector stakeholders to identify
practical pathways for advancing localization and community-led development. Theme

Goal

To
strengthen Africa's localization agenda by promoting meaningful participation,
leadership, and financing for local actors in climate, humanitarian,
environmental, and energy access initiatives. Objectives

stakeholders on the implementation of localization commitments in climate,
humanitarian, and environmental sectors.Identify barriers and
opportunities for increasing direct funding and decision-making power for
