الوصف

This workshop explores the concept of interconnected struggles as a framework for understanding the links between peoples’ movements against colonialism, occupation, oppression, wars, and systems of injustice. It places the Palestinian struggle at the heart of global efforts for justice, freedom, human rights, and the dignity of peoples. Drawing from the historical experiences of the Global South, particularly African liberation movements that fought against colonial domination, exploitation, and racial oppression, the workshop examines the shared experiences and connections with the Palestinian reality of occupation, settlement expansion, forced displacement, and ongoing violations of international law, especially in the context of the devastating war on Gaza and its unprecedented humanitarian consequences. The discussion will highlight the importance of collective action among social movements, trade unions, civil society organizations, and solidarity networks worldwide in building effective forms of international solidarity that go beyond declarations and translate into concrete actions, including campaigns for boycott, divestment, sanctions, and accountability for institutions and companies contributing to or benefiting from occupation and violations of human rights. The workshop will also address the importance of defending international law and supporting international justice mechanisms, including the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice, as essential tools to ensure accountability and end impunity. By bringing together voices from Palestine, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe, the workshop seeks to strengthen global alliances among social movements and reaffirm that the struggle for justice in Palestine is part of a broader human struggle for freedom, self-determination, and the protection of peoples’ rights.
