Descripción
This workshop aims to present an in-depth analysis of the
current humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, framing the ongoing
crisis within the broader context of the Palestinian people’s right to
self-determination. While the blockade and military escalation have
resulted in catastrophic humanitarian consequences, this session argues
that sustainable solutions cannot be achieved through humanitarian aid
alone, cessation of hostilities and violations to human rights must be respected and life of civilians must be protected. The so-called ceasefire on October 2025 has never implemented and over 1200 Palestinians were killed since it was announced. Discussions will address the deterioration of living conditions,
advocating for a paradigm shift from humanitarian management to
political resolution based on international law and the recognition of
self-determination. Participants will explore strategies for civil
society engagement to advance peace and justice and sustainable solution.
