L'objectif de cette activité et de faire le point sur l'actualité du Sahara Occidental et examiner le statut juridique de la question du Sahara occidental en tant que dernière colonie en Afrique selon le droit international, en analysant les arrêts de la Cour internationale de Justice, les résolutions des Nations Unies et le droit à l'autodétermination du peuple sahraoui en tant que droit inaliénable. Il abordera la situation actuelle caractérisée par le fossé entre les engagements internationaux récurrents pour mettre en œuvre le référendum convenu et la réalité politique qui entrave sa mise en œuvre, en se concentrant sur le rôle des instances concernées (ONU, Union africaine), la volonté populaire et la lutte nationale face à la colonisation et à la néo‑colonisation en cours.Decolonization and Self Determination of the Sahrawi PeopleIt examines the legal status of the Western Sahara issue as the last colony in Africa under international law, analyzing the rulings of the International Court of Justice, United Nations resolutions, and the right to self‑determination of the Sahrawi people as an inalienable right. Descolonización y Autodeterminación del Pueblo Saharaui:Examina el estatus legal de la cuestión del Sáhara Occidental como la última colonia en África según el derecho internacional, analizando las decisiones de la Corte Internacional de Justicia, las resoluciones de las Naciones Unidas y el derecho a la autodeterminación del pueblo saharaui como un derecho inalienable. Abordará la situación actual caracterizada por la brecha entre los compromisos internacionales recurrentes para implementar el referéndum acordado y la realidad política que obstaculiza su implementación, centrándose en el papel de los organismos pertinentes (ONU, Unión Africana), la voluntad popular y la lucha nacional frente a la colonización y la neocolonización en curso.
