The Giving Is Healing Foundation (GIHF) is a non-governmental and humanitarian organization committed to promoting community development, social inclusion, and human dignity through impactful outreach programs and advocacy initiatives. GIHF focuses on empowering vulnerable populations, including women, children, youths, migrants, and the elderly, through education, health interventions, life skills training, humanitarian support, and advocacy campaigns. The foundation actively works in areas such as safe migration awareness, anti-human trafficking sensitization, gender equality, youth empowerment, elderly healthcare support, environmental sustainability, and community welfare.
Through strategic partnerships with organizations including the International Organization for Migration (IOM), National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), and other stakeholders, GIHF continues to create sustainable impact by providing hope, support, and opportunities for underserved communities across Nigeria.
Driven by compassion and service, GIHF believes in transforming lives and strengthening communities through humanitarian action, advocacy, and empowerment initiatives.
Mission
Established in 2019, the Giving Is Healing Foundation (GIHF) is a community-driven organization committed to improving living conditions in both rural and urban areas through sustainable Community Development Efforts (CDE). The Foundation is guided by the belief that empowering individuals and strengthening communities are essential pathways to lasting social and economic transformation. GIHF works to support vulnerable populations by developing inclusive and practical solutions that respond to the evolving needs of communities. Through targeted interventions, the Foundation promotes access to opportunities, enhances resilience, and fosters self-reliance among individuals, particularly those facing social and economic challenges.The Foundation adopts a holistic approach to development, integrating health, education, economic empowerment, and social support systems to promote overall well-being. GIHF also collaborates with relevant stakeholders, institutions, and partners to ensure coordinated and impactful responses to community needs.Guided by principles of dignity, equity, and human rights, GIHF remains committed to protecting vulnerable populations, promoting inclusivity, and ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
