ATTAC is an international alter-globalization organization created in 1998 that promotes democratic control of financial markets. It defends tax justice, capital regulation, and wealth redistribution against neoliberalism. It operates through popular education, social mobilization, and political proposals at the local and international levels.
Mission
ATTAC's mission is to democratize the economy and put finance at the service of society.
Its objectives include promoting tax justice, combating speculation, and reducing social and global inequalities. It also seeks to strengthen citizen participation through popular education and social mobilization.
