Presentation

The Association for Solidarity and Sustainable Development (AS2D) is a secular, apolitical, and non-profit organization whose purpose is to contribute to community self-promotion and inclusive and equitable local sustainable development, in order to build resilient, peaceful, and active communities. Its vision for 2027 is to become an effective instrument for community engagement in social transformation, peace, the empowerment of women and youth, and participation in local governance, thereby contributing to improved sustainable access for citizens to quality services related to water, hygiene, sanitation, human rights, citizen participation in local governance, and environmental protection.

Mission

The Mission of AS2D
is to contribute to improving the well-being of
communities affected
by poverty, shocks/crises/conflicts and all other forms of
vulnerabilities, to building peace and protecting the environment.
Overall Objective: To guarantee
the rigorous implementation of the program and projects, transforming
resources into sustainable impacts for communities, while ensuring organizational and institutional strengthening and consolidating the relationship
of trust with local partners.
Specific Objectives (SO)

SO1

(Governance & Institutional): To institutionalize and consolidate operational excellence
through the technical strengthening of staff, compliance
with standards, and the complete digitalization of the accounting and financial system;
OS2

(Social & Economic):

Strengthen the protection of women, youth, and children against safeguarding risks and gender-based violence, and improve the economic resilience of women and youth through green and digital entrepreneurship.

OS3

(Environment & Living Conditions):
Restore ecosystems and optimize household waste management through citizen engagement for climate adaptation and synergy with local authorities.

OS4

(Local Governance & Peace):

Influence local public policies and strengthen community participation in social cohesion and peaceful coexistence.

participate in convergence assemblies, facilitate thematic discussions, participate in advocacy actions, share and capitalize on the experiences of other participants.
