Presentation
The Maghreb Sahel Network on Migration is a platform created in 2009 in Tamanrasset, Algeria. It arose from the shared commitment of NGOs and associations working to defend and promote the rights of migrants in the Sahel and Maghreb region. Member associations: 1. National Association of Migrant Partners, Mbour, Senegal; 2. Refugee and Immigrant Reception Center, Dakar, Senegal; 3. Boza Fii, Dakar, Senegal; 4. Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa, Tunis, Tunisia; 5. Alternative Citizen Spaces, Niamey, Niger; 6. Caritas Mopti, the Migrant House, Gao, Mali; 7. Direy Ben, the Migrant Shelter, Gao, Mali; 8. Citizens Standing Up, Nouakchott, Mauritania; 9. Mauritanian Association for Citizenship and Development, Nouakchott, Mauritania.
Mission
The overall objective of this Network is to create a collective capacity for mobilization and action in order to better defend and promote the rights of migrants in the Sahel-Maghreb region.
