Presentation

The CFDT is a French trade union that operates nationally to represent employees within companies, industry sectors, local communities, and during negotiations with employers and the government. Its confederation also coordinates national actions and represents the organization within the international trade union movement. In terms of international trade union solidarity, the CFDT works with trade union organizations abroad, notably through the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), and supports repressed trade unionists. It also defends human rights, trade union freedoms, and decent work.
