Presentation

The National Youth and Democracy Authority (INJD Morocco) is a national coordinating body bringing together young people committed to promoting political participation, democratic dialogue, and civic engagement in Morocco. It works to strengthen young people's capacities, encourage their access to decision-making spaces, and promote the values of participatory democracy, social justice, and inclusive governance. The INJD also develops initiatives and spaces for reflection on contemporary issues such as political transformation, democratic innovation, territorial governance, and the challenges related to new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and digital sovereignty. Open to its regional and international environment, the Authority engages in a dynamic of cooperation with youth organizations in Africa, the Euro-Mediterranean region, and globally, in order to contribute to building more just, inclusive, and sustainable societies.

Mission

The mission of the National Youth and Democracy Authority (INJD Morocco) is to promote youth engagement in democratic processes, strengthen their participation in decision-making spaces, and contribute to the consolidation of inclusive and participatory governance. The Authority works to develop young people's capacities, encourage democratic dialogue, and support the dynamics of political innovation, with a focus on contemporary issues related to social justice, civic participation, and the transformation of governance systems. It also aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among young people at the African, Euro-Mediterranean, and international levels, in order to build collective responses to global challenges, particularly those related to democratic transitions, social inequalities, and technological changes, including artificial intelligence and digital sovereignty.

Participation in WSF 2026

The National Youth and Democracy Authority (INJD Morocco) is a regular and active participant in the World Social Forum process, having taken part in previous editions held in various international contexts. Building on this experience, the Authority aims to actively contribute to the dynamics of the 2026 World Social Forum by organizing innovative thematic workshops and participating in dialogue and convergence spaces. It plans to offer activities focusing on youth political participation, democratic governance, and emerging issues related to artificial intelligence and digital sovereignty in developing countries. The Authority also seeks to strengthen exchanges and develop strategic partnerships with youth organizations and African and international networks to foster the development of collective responses to global challenges. Through its participation, INJD Morocco aims to promote an inclusive, youth-led vision for more democratic, just, and sustainable societies.
