Suhail Astronomy Association is a non-profit civil society organization dedicated to public scientific outreach and the popularization of astronomy and space sciences for the general public. Our core focus is to empower, develop, and bridge youth with modern technology and practical knowledge through astronomy. Moving beyond theoretical education, Suhail actively engages citizen scientists and amateurs in real scientific contribution, specializing in field outreach, capturing rare cosmic phenomena, and conducting professional-grade data collection through stellar and asteroid occultations
Mission
Our main missions and objectives are: - To democratize science by conducting widespread public astronomy outreach (Scientific Outreach) accessible to all social groups.- To develop the skills of young people and approach youth through hands-on knowledge, coding, and observational technologies.- To involve amateur astronomers in official scientific research campaigns, specifically the tracking, observation, and timing of astronomical occultations and cosmic event ..- To demonstrate that grassroots African associations and citizen scientists can produce accurate, high-value data that serves the global international scientific community.
