Natural Resource Women Platform (NRWP)

The Natural Resource Women Platform (NRWP) is a feminist
grassroots movement in Liberia that strengthens the voices, leadership, and
rights of Indigenous women, rural women, women from concession-affected
communities, and Women Human Rights Defenders. NRWP supports women-led
movements that advance land rights, environmental and climate justice, natural
resource protection, and gender equality.

NRWP builds its movement by organizing women at the
community level, developing feminist leadership, documenting evidence to inform
advocacy, strengthening solidarity and collective action, and promoting
women-led climate solutions and sustainable livelihoods, including agroecology,
Indigenous seed preservation, communal farming, and women’s economic
empowerment.

The organization is guided by the values of feminist leadership, collective
power, justice, solidarity, participation, accountability, care, and respect
for Indigenous knowledge. NRWP envisions a Liberia where organized and
empowered women lead collective action to secure land rights, protect natural
resources, strengthen livelihoods, and advance a just, feminist, and
sustainable future.
