Rural Women Action For Environment (RuWAE)

Rural Women Action for Environment (RuWAE) is a community –Based Organization (CBO) formed on the 23rd of July 2023. RuWAE is focused on elevating rural women as leaders in environmental protection and sustainable development. It aims to equip these women with knowledge and resources, enabling them to champion eco-friendly causes.Through education, advocacy, and capacity-building, RuWAE empowers rural women to drive positive changes in their communities' environmental relationships. RuWAE achieves this through workshops that educate women about environmental concerns and their roles as resource custodians. Reforestation projects not only restore ecosystems but also instill pride in nurturing surroundings. Notably, RuWAE imparts climate adaptation skills to women, enhancing community resilience against environmental challenges. Advocacy campaigns amplify rural women's voices in decision-making, impacting policies and practices. By bridging local communities with broader policy dialogues, RuWAE ensures collaborative sustainable development.
