Cheerful Hands Initiative is a dynamic, female-led non-profit dedicated to dismantling the barriers that hold back the girl child and marginalized communities in Nigeria. Registered in 2021, CHI serves as a bridge between vulnerability and self-reliance. We believe that a girl with a book, a woman with a skill and a community with a voice can change the world.
Misión
Mission: To catalyze sustainable development by providing holistic education, economic opportunities and mental health support while advocating for the protection of human rights and eradication of gender-based violence Objectives:- Educational Equity by bridging the enrollment gap by returning out of school girls to the classroom through scholarships and mentorship.- Eradicate poverty cycles via vocational training, micro-grants and entrepreneurship incubation - Lead the fight against gender-based violence (GBV), Child Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM) and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)- Integrate mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) into community development to foster emotional resilience - Empower youth\'s and women to participate in governance and climate action

CHI is participating in the WSF because it provides a unique global platform for civil society organizations, grassroots movements, activists, policy makers and development partners to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and collectively advance solutions to pressing social, economic and environmental challenges.
