Misereor is the German Catholic Bishops’ Organisation for Development Cooperation and one of Germany’s leading development organisations. Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Aachen, Misereor works with local partner organisations across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Oceania to address the root causes of poverty, inequality and injustice. Misereor combines development cooperation, policy advocacy and civic education to promote human rights, social and environmental justice, sustainable livelihoods and democratic participation. Misereor's support is available to all people, regardless of their religion, ethnicity or gender
Mission
Misereor's mission is to work together with partners worldwide to address the root causes of poverty, inequality and exclusion, while creating the conditions for a life of dignity for all. Through development cooperation, advocacy and education, Misereor supports communities and civil society actors, amplifies the voices of marginalised groups and advocates for policies that advance human rights, social and environmental justice, democratic participation and sustainable development. Guided by the vision of a just and sustainable world, Misereor seeks to contribute to social and ecological transformation and enable a good life for all people within planetary boundaries.

- Strengthen relationships and build networks with civil society organisations, social movements and grassroots actors from Africa and beyond.-
Gain a deeper understanding of the priorities, concerns and advocacy agendas of African social movements and civil society actors

Facilitate exchange, collaboration and networking among MISEREOR partners participating in the WSF.

Enhance the visibility of key partner issues and struggles at international level and contribute to amplifying their voices

Coordinate with German and European NGOs to amplify civil society voices emerging from the WSF and help bring relevant debates and perspectives into German public and media discourse.- Identify opportunities for new advocacy alliances and joint initiatives across regions and sectors.-
