African-Led Pathways to Climate Justice and System Change: Reclaiming Futures Beyond Extractivism

🌍 Ecological crises, climate justice and just transition 🔗 Decolonization and sovereignty ✊ Social justice, human rights and gender equality

Description

African grassroots communities at the front lines have been ravaged by climate change-induced natural hazards, extractive industry activities, mega dam construction consequences, and false solution experiments.  This event aims to unmask the realities these communities experience under local and international capitalism.  It will also reflect the negative effects on land, water, air, and people's livelihoods and habitats. In addition to bringing to the fore the people's struggles, they will express their demands and strengthen solidarity with affected communities worldwide while speaking out against capitalism, promoting Pan-Africanism and ecofeminism.
