Refugees and Migrants have to risk their lives crossing the sea, the desert or other border zones as they cannot travel on safe routes because of an exclusive visa regime. Against this background tenthousands of people died and still die at EU borders. Relatives, survivors and supporters have build the transnational CommemorAction network in 2020 with two aims: to remember, to commemorate the dead and missing on one hand, and to protest, to act against the conditions and the responsible politics. In the panel relatives from various african countries will talk about their suffering by the ignorance of state actors, but also about their efforts to get organized and to struggle for freedom of movement and to end the death at borders.
