Format: Panel + participatory discussions Duration: 2 hours Co-organized by: CADTM Africa Feminist Struggles Collective, CADD Benin Summary: Around the world, women are experiencing increased indebtedness linked to the precariousness of the working classes. They are also at the forefront of resistance and alternative solutions. This session will highlight feminist testimonies, analyses, and strategies against illegitimate forms of debt. Objectives: To document the gendered impacts of abusive microcredit. To share experiences of resistance and self-organization. To formulate feminist and grassroots action plans.
