Description
As part of the workshop offered by the PSA, we are proposing a first morning of discussions around the theme: "A lever for the emancipation of rural women: Governance and networks, what makes a women's organization work." A pair of two participants will have prepared the introduction to the discussion and selected people to share their experiences. We are launching a call for participation from organizations in Latin America, North Africa, or the English-speaking world that have experience to share on this topic. For your information: The Geneva Food Sovereignty Platform has been discussing this topic for almost two years (team of women leaders from Africa, webinars), and a 5-day workshop in Benin in October 2025 (40 women, 8 countries) is compiling resources (fact sheets and videos). We invited 20 of these women and men to the World Social Forum to:
strengthen solidarity among their organizations, build relationships, and
deepen ongoing learning about women's empowerment and
the integration of gender considerations into development projects. We have a
headquarters at Eco Benin's headquarters where we welcome those who
want to share their experiences.
