Description
Ubuntu School is a learning, exchange, and reflection framework designed to strengthen the civic and Pan-African consciousness of young Africans. Through interactive discussions, presentations, group work, and intergenerational dialogue spaces, this activity offers an immersion in the history, values, and ideals that have shaped the struggles and aspirations of Pan-Africanism. The activity aims to explore the profound meaning of Pan-Africanism, its historical origins, its emblematic figures, and its importance in the contemporary dynamics of the African continent. It also invites participants to discover the Ubuntu philosophy, "I am because we are," as the foundation of an African identity based on solidarity, humanity, mutual aid, and collective responsibility. Ubuntu School strives to be a space for raising awareness and transmitting knowledge, enabling participants to better understand the links between historical memory, community engagement, and social transformation. By valuing African knowledge, local experiences and values of cohesion, the activity encourages the emergence of an engaged, critical youth with a common vision for the future of the continent.
