Climate change: Earth rights and the rights of the poor.

The global system of domination respects no limits, has no borders, and accepts no regulations. It acts in an imperial and colonizing manner in every corner of the planet. It is necessary to bear in mind that in recent decades the current stage of the global capitalist system has radically transformed. Today it is dominated by financial capitalism or "capitalism of finance."

The characteristic of this system of capital concentration is the complete detachment from the reality of life, from human and environmental needs, promoting displacement and climate disasters. This panel aims to discuss the issue of migration and climate change from the perspective of the most vulnerable populations, their right to the territories they inhabit, and the urgency of transforming the current economic and technological system to mitigate the terminal environmental crisis that threatens the planet in a few decades. Local communities, popular organizations, churches, and religious traditions cannot remain silent at this moment in history.
