Descrição

We recognize that in general, the field of religion continues to be under strong patriarchal influences. For this reason, we are planning an interactive workshop, which aims to bring together diverse groups from around the world who are committed to addressing issues of gender and feminism in relation to religion. We expect the participants to exchange views on how their groups create spaces of liberation and freedom within the sphere of religion. The goal of this workshop is to facilitate a mutual learning through a deeper listening to the creative and liberative approaches undertaken in this field.
The workshop will last two and a half hours and will be divided into three parts. Representatives of each group are expected to respond to the following questions:  a) How does your group experience the force of patriarchy in your particular context? b) Despite these oppressive elements, how does your group engage with creativity and freedom to live in greater fullness in your religious context? c) What specific means do you use to achieve this?  2) An open discussion will establish links between the approaches and tactics of the groups present.3) The session will end with a closing celebration, highlighting the liberative steps that have emerged in the workshop.
