Description

This event provides a space for reflection and dialogue on the challenges of territorial governance, negotiated political solutions, and prospects for lasting peace in Africa, drawing on Morocco's experience with advanced regionalization and the autonomy project. In an international context marked by a proliferation of geopolitical crises, identity tensions, and challenges related to territorial development, this meeting aims to explore the role of participatory governance models in consolidating regional stability, political dialogue, and social cohesion. The panel will focus particularly on:

territorial governance and citizen participation;

the role of youth and civil society in peacebuilding;

the dynamics of human and economic development in territories;

African approaches to the peaceful resolution of conflicts; and

the challenges of South-South cooperation and regional stability. Through a cross-disciplinary approach bringing together representatives from civil society organizations, academics, young leaders, and African and international stakeholders, this event aims to foster an open, constructive, and forward-looking debate on political alternatives that promote dialogue, inclusive development, and lasting peace. The panel aligns with the spirit of the World Social Forum, emphasizing approaches based on dialogue, citizen participation, territorial justice, and cooperation among peoples.
