Descrição
This is the first in a series of events HIC is hosting at the 2026 World Social Forum, and explores how habitat-related human rights can be placed at the center of social movement agendas. Panelists from diverse social movements will discuss how habitat is a cross-cutting issue in their work, and how it connects to diverse struggles such as gender equality, food sovereignty, labour, and land rights. The event will serve as a space to collectively reflect on the value of fostering collaboration and solidarity around habitat-related human rights between diverse social movements along the urban-rural continuum.
