Paix 2026 (Peace 2026) Session 2: Youth and peace: Promoting youth leadership and nonviolent social action focused on marginalized communities

Lead organizations: RRAS & Ekta ParishadPAIX 2026 (Fabrique de Paix) offers this workshop which aims to bring together African youth and other leaders in discussions on what kind of nonviolent action mobilizes people for social change. The experiences of RRAS in Central African Republic and other countries will be shared. Representatives of Ekta Parishad will discuss the large-scale actions carried out nonviolently in defense of land reform in India. The interactions will focus on how to build up campaigns from the grassroots and manage conflicts in challenging situations. The aim will be to compare experiences with youth engagement across different contexts/countries to see if there are common strategies, which can be shared and deployed. Such sharing will strengthen existing global networks to offer ongoing mentorship to youth.Duration: 2 Hours, 30 Minutes
